Hannah Epstein is a composer, lyricist, music educator and musician. Her works include two full length musicals, Doctor Blackwell and Walker Road as well as a twenty-minute musical collaboration, On A Train, which was performed as part of the Across a Crowded Room New Musicals presentation at the New York Library for the Performing Arts. Hannah participated in the Maestra Mentorship program and is a member of Maestra Music. She currently teaches third and fourth grade music at Norwood School in Bethesda, MD. Hannah has participated in the Paper Kite Arts Summer Musical Workshop and TRU’s How to Write a Musical that Works workshops. She also studied at the Dramatist’s Guild Institute with composer Mark Hollmann and with composer Joe Church. Hannah received her MA in Music Education from NYU’s Steinhardt School of Education and her BA in Music from Swarthmore College. She is proficient in piano, saxophone, clarinet and voice. She is the mother of two daughters and lives in Bethesda, MD.
