I was proud to write an original musical for Imagination Stage with playwright Janet Stanford. "Charmville Pageant Rebellion" tells the story of nineteen tweens who fight back against their town's restrictive youth culture to express their authentic selves. In addition to writing twelve original songs, I music directed and performed the show.
Speak Out on Stage gives young performers in grades 4-6 the opportunity to share their experiences and ideas to help create fun, dramatic, and insightful new works for the stage. This is their chance to “Speak Out” about what’s important to them! Speak Out on Stage auditions are held in the fall, after which ensemble members are selected to be a part of two separate companies – one working towards an original play and the other an original musical.
